Golden Gate International Exposition Medal - San Francisco World's Fair, 1939
Made with an original souvenir medal from the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition in San Francisco. This medallion commemorates the completion of the Bay Bridge in 1936 and the Golden Gate Bridge in 1937. The medal is dated 1939 and had scenes of both the bridge and the newly constructed Treasure Island. This piece is accented with faceted Swarovski crystal beads and an elegant toggle clasp worn in front.
